(Supplies? That's almost as intriguing as the whole proposition and Luffy shrugs to himself before going back to his room. Everything is chaos with the voting in disarray; nerves are frayed and tempers flaring, so by the time Matt's next message shows up Luffy is ready to leave his room for a bit.
He should be at least a little apprehensive about everything, but the reality is Luffy always has acted first with not much thought behind it. In his mind it makes sense, that this should help catch a wolf and perhaps prevent more murder. Matt is a friend too and the fact he even reached out and asked conveys the trust behind it all.
That or Luffy is just the only person who answered; he doesn't know and he's not going to think much on it as he heads to Matt's room, dressed in his usual red vest and cropped jeans, straw hat left with the crew for now.)
Hey. That's what you meant by supplies huh? (Mystery solved, and if there's any awkwardness in the air Luffy just ignores it outright as he looks around Matt's room with unbridled curiosity. They're just two people talking and — wait, what is he not touching? The desk?) What're those?
Ah, it's-- [ Matt can't help a defensive half-step towards the desk. It's not that he doesn't trust Luffy to follow the request (more fool he), but he's worked so hard on this spell setup that it's second nature to protect it. ] --things that belonged to Parisa. Her purse, everything in it. They're all over here as part of ... basically, I'm teaching the spell what it's going to look for. So if there really is anything left of Parisa that isn't in the morgue, we'll find it.
[ Matt's not used to explaining the purpose of a ritual like this. He's mainly cast sex magic with his ex and a handful of lovers, and their goals were usually more recreational. He smiles, a bit sheepish, and steps forward to pluck the neck of Luffy's vest between finger and thumb. ]
I like this, by the way. I don't think I've ever mentioned.
(The items get another look as Luffy makes a note not to go near them. If they're important for the spell then even he knows not to touch and end up wasting everyone's time.
Suddenly Matt is stepping forwards, talking about Luffy's vest and the pirate captain can't help but feel a little thrill of excitement at the realisation Matt hadn't been joking about any of it. He'd not been sure of any of it really, but the idea of helping in some way, and not to mention helping a friend, had overruled any of that. Visiting Matt would give some reprieve from crew tensions that had also begun as a result of chaotic voting, something Luffy has been dwelling on too much recently.)
Yeah? Someone back home made it for me. (He pauses, a glint of mischief as Luffy wonders how they're going to go about this. Maybe he should say something back? Like the one thing that almost gave Koby conniptions ....) Don't forget I can stretch. You can't hurt me.
[ Matt laughs, his smile warming at that little gleam in his eye. ]
I haven't forgotten. Believe me. [ But it's sweet, that reassurance. After the shocking, heartbreaking violence of this week, what could be more needed than to know your body won't bring harm to someone else's body? It's what Matt is always trying to tell other people, on some level: You can't hurt me. I won't hurt you. ] But, ah ... first I was thinking I might just ...
[ Matt's fingers splay out, smoothing over Luffy's shoulder. His free hand cups his cheek. And Matt bends slightly to drop a gentle kiss to Luffy's lips.
Though he places the kiss precisely, at the moment their mouths meet, some coil of tension inside him unspools. Matt relaxes into the kiss, thumb stroking over Luffy's cheek. Though he'd like to keep chasing tastes and sensations until he needs to breathe again, Matt takes his cues from Luffy, attentive to his reaction. The symbols on the walls, meanwhile, seem to glimmer a touch more brightly. ]
( Luffy is glad that's out there and out of the way. Some could find it an odd thing to say and the way Matt laughs is all the reassurance Luffy needs. Never let it be said he was a dishonest pirate, or someone who refused to help when lives were at risk. And maybe, just maybe, there's excitement intertwined with curiosity over the aspect of magic and sex being on the same side of the coin. )
Hm? ( There's only a moment to appreciate the hand that runs over his shoulder, the touch at his cheek before lips press against his own. Luffy has enjoyed kisses in the manor before now and this is definitely another one of those to add to that list as he places both hands against Matt's chest. It's all too easy to kiss back just a little firmer as Luffy begins testing thresholds, resisting the urge to start causing chaos just yet as he relishes the warmth and feel of it all. Later, Matt will need to tell Luffy about the symbols glowing brighter as everything but him escapes the pirate's notice for now. )
[ Is the answer that comes, murmured through the press of their mouths. Luffy's hands press to Matt's chest, and Matt's heartbeat skitters quicker under his touch. Matt's head tilts, letting their noses brush below the (annoying, stupid) masquerade masks; his teeth close lightly over Luffy's bottom lip, then nibble a bit harder, to see how he takes it. His hands drift, fingers sliding into Luffy's hair and squeezing his upper arm.
It's one thing to have "you can't hurt me" as a baseline. It's another to figure out what Luffy likes. And Matt always wants to know that: what people desire, the cravings that animate them. If it was just about getting off, he may or may not want to indulge to forget all the murder and mayhem. But all want is, on some level, sacred to him, whether for sex or for food or for spiritual enlightenment. ]
(Luffy can feel how Matt's heart rate picks up under his palms and he's enthralled by that sensation alone, the knowledge that he's caused that heady and potent. There's not a single regret in his mind and he's pretty certain they didn't meet up just to be kissing the whole evening away and Matt seems to be on the same wavelength as Luffy feels fingers at his hair.
It's the nibble at his lip that almost undoes the pirate captain, a flash of heat instantly pooling south as he immediately moves to press completely up against Matt, breaking the kiss with a low groan.)
More of that.... (He'd never considered nibbles and biting to be a turn on but now it's all Luffy can think about as he slides his hands around to slip under the back of Matt's shirt, fingertips slowly staring to explore as Luffy leans in for another kiss.)
[ Luffy's reaction, in turn, is intoxicating. Matt can't help chasing it; even as more slips out, he's biting again, sucking on Luffy's lower lip before releasing him to kiss along his jaw and nip at the lobe of his ear.
Luffy presses against him, and Matt rocks forward in turn, the friction as their hips come flush drawing a sharp answering sound. Luffy's hands start to ruck up Matt's sweater, and he arches into their touch. His fingers tighten in Luffy's hair. This seems to agree with the spell configuration, which flickers warmly again--almost as if it's a flame being fed by their intimacy. When Luffy kisses him again, Matt meets him with a moan, trying to keep kissing him and peel off his sweater at the same time. It's only when he has to breathe that he pulls back with a laugh and says: ]
Here--I'll just--
[ He shucks the sweater off and lets it fall. Underneath, he's every bit as willowy as one might expect, with a green lotus tattoo over his heart and a half-monkey, half-man figure curling over his right hip, disappearing below the waistband of his trousers. Which are already feeling a bit tighter than they were a moment ago.
Matt plucks at Luffy's vest again, this time by both lapels, and shoots him a smile as he aims to pull him towards the bed. ]
