That's what they say but that doesn't mean they're right. If they want us to stay here then of course they'll say that, plus we still had to get here. Even if we came through a door and it's locked, that door exists.

But, if it was a lie someone would have figured it out by now. Some of these people in this group are weird, but, I don't think they're all stupid, if any of them are. A couple that I've spoken to so far seem pretty far from it.
It's a job if I get paid to do it. Which reminds me, I should look into that some time.

True, I don't think they're being malicious, sometimes it feels like they want our help. If we aren't going home we're able to do just that. Not that I'm following what they're saying, most of the time it's things that only make sense to other people.
Don't worry though, we'll figure it out. If it means it takes a little longer to go home and get to the Grand Line then so be it.
Into getting paid? I kind of hoped you would have led with that when you got the job. We need to make sure we have a cushion for ourselves, just in case.
We don't have a choice, but - it sucks that you're going to have to wait even longer to get there.
