IN CHARACTER
CHARACTER NAME: Monkey D. Luffy.
CHARACTER AGE: 18, possibly 19.
CHARACTER CANON: One Piece Live Action
CANON POINT: End of Season 1.
ABILITIES:
After eating the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit, Luffy's body took on the properties of rubber. When someone eats a devil fruit it is said the ocean turns its back on the eater, which means not only does Luffy have rubber properties, but is weak to salt sea water; it renders him weak and should he fall into the ocean he would simply sink to the bottom and be unable to move. If he is sprayed with seawater it will also weaken him temporarily. Luffy uses his rubber abilities to put more impact into his attacks which he calls out in the belief that all good fighters call out their attack names:
• Gum Gum Pistol: A stretched out long range punch.
• Gum Gum Whip: A stretched out long range kick.
• Gum Gum Bazooka: A stretched out two handed slap/shove.
• Gum Gum Gattling: A flurry of punches
• Gum Gum Battle Axe: Stretched out heel kick.
• Gum Gum Rocket: Catapulting himself at the enemy.
Luffy has also been seen to bounce bullets back at pirates or deflect attacks such as when Alvida fought him, inflate his body like a balloon to bounce back cannonballs and has a haphazard style of dodging attacks and fighting. There is no current limit shown as to how far Luffy can be stretched; at one point he was being stretched on a rack by Buggy the clown and showed little signs of concern or discomfort.
Also it's worth an honorary mention that Luffy’s sense of smell is quite impressive. If he smells food he’s able to follow his nose to determine the location of it with success and can seemingly identify individual ingredients.

SURVEY
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: Luffy's socioeconomic background is non-existent. His relationship to wealth is terrible; he has no concept of how money should actually work and believes in an awful IOU system called his treasure tab. The fact most, if not all, people will not wait until he finds a legendary treasure is beyond his comprehension.
Luffy's upbringing is also a mystery (in the live action at least), but when he's first seen he's considered an "urchin" and living on his own in Windmill village. The chances are he'll find treasure and not know what to do with it. Rich people habits are also a mystery as evidenced by his reaction to the closet at Kaya's place. Who needs more than one outfit anyway?
WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?:
What did he major in? Technically, he was being dragged up as a marine. But if it's up to Luffy, it would be Piracy. Which is surprisingly a thing in some places.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?:
Meeting his crew and getting his own ship without spending a single berry would be the easy answer, but it's the truth and the one Luffy holds in highest regard. Several other contenders would be seeing a clown explode into body parts, or finding a floating restaurant with some of the best food in the world. Honorary mention also goes to eating the devil fruit and meeting Shanks.
DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER USING ONE SONG FROM THE EARLY 2000S: Join With Us by The Feeling.
NAME 1-3 VICES YOUR CHARACTER INDULGES IN: Gluttony, overconfidence and impulsivity.
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S LIQUOR OF CHOICE?: Whatever Zoro is drinking, since milk doesn't count here.
HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE THEIR EGGS?: Plentiful. If pushed, fried.
IF YOUR CHARACTER HAD TO DRINK SOMEONE'S DIRTY BATHWATER, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?:
Shanks, and he wouldn't need to be out of the bath for Luffy to start either. Shanks is the one Luffy idolizes the most, the one that Luffy sets his standards by. Shanks is the epitome of great Pirate Captain in his eyes and nothing can budge that, not even angry clown ex-friends. It's because of Shanks that Luffy sets out to be a pirate and not a marine, and there's most likely not a day goes by where Luffy doesn't think about the guy.
