( it's so unusual to see Nami shaken in such a way that Luffy is almost lost for words. spiders were bad and so were cockroaches? he's starting to put two and two together, for once coming up with four and realising that Nami isn't keen on most bugs as opposed to specific ones.

Luffy blinks at the sheer determination to avoid the bugs coming from Nami. and then there's the feeling of failing a mission somehow; his navigator should be able to sleep on land without this issue and he ponders how to fix it. ) We've already paid for the rooms. It's not going to be able to hear you over all the blowing it's doing, is it?
[ Nami does do what she can to lean the ship into it as much as she can, though it takes until sundown to reach the next island anyway. It's one she's visited before while working under Arlong's thumb, and she took decent enough notes on the layout of the town they're making port at, that the map should take him on his walking tour with very little issue.
Hopefully he at least hangs in there and helps them get settled at the dock before taking off. ]

( At least it doesn't take long for the Merry to arrive at the next island. Sundown, just as Nami had mentioned. Luffy can barely contain his excitement, hopping from foot to foot as he watches the docks get closer and closer.
Occasionally he looks over at the ship, reminding himself there's a checklist to go through when arriving somewhere, that things need to get done first. At one point he's grabbed on to the rail, gearing up to catapult himself over to the town before reigning himself in.
Checklist first. Then treasure hunting. )

worst case, she'll find an ulterior way to get what she paid back and then some. the whole point of paying for an inn is to have shelter away from the bugs and elements! if she wanted to deal with roaches, they would have camped out instead...]
